CENTRAL EUROPE. Helvetii (?). 3rd-2nd century BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 8.48 g, 11 h), imitating Philip II of Macedon. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. [ΦΙΛ]ΙΠΠ[OY] Charioteer driving biga to right, holding reins in her left hand and kentron in her right. Allen -. DT -. HMZ 1-1b. LT -. SLM 369 var. (control on reverse). Extremely rare. Several marks and light doubling on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
